Health Talk at Tzu-Chi Foundation & Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society

The Rehab Circle collaborates with Tzu Chi Foundation and Cheng Hong Welfare Society to conduct regular health talks at their Jurong West branch. There are many residents who are looking to manage their health conditions. We cover common pain points such as How to Manage Knee Pain.

We are thankful to have empowered our Nanyang residents to take better care of their health, especially the seniors and the vulnerable.

Exercise Equipment Demonstration

The Rehab Circle collaborated with SASCO Singapore and NTUC Health to educate our residents on how to safely use the exercise equipment near their block. There are common misconceptions which the elderly may have, leading to reduced confidence in utilising the equipment.

Through the session, we hope that residents can administer exercise safely on their own without having to over-rely on external groups to keep them active

Shoulder & Digital Health Talk

The Rehab Circle collaborated with SASCO Singapore, NTUC Health and Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to reach out to our residents on both Physical & Digital Health!

As we observe a rising number of concerns over shoulder and joint health, we covered a common pain point - How to Manage Shoulder Pain. We hope our residents know how to safely handle the pain and seek professional help when needed instead so that the problem area doesn’t worsen.

IMDA representatives also taught our residents on how to use the HealthHub App to book appointments and How to Spot a Scam. With rising number of scam cases, we hope our residents know how to protect themselves.

Student-Led Diabetes Health Talk

We had our first student-led talk on the topic of Diabetes!

Our Physio student, Victoria, help to raise awareness on what causes onset of Diabetes, how to prevent Diabetes through proper diet and exercise!

Diabetes is one of the most critical public health crisis in Singapore, it is highly important to educate our residents on how to stay clear of this condition when there is so much hidden sugars in our foods!
